I am looking for a contact in the midwest here in the states that could get a studio located in a church to a pro level. We have a lot of bleed of sound from other areas throughout the church and we are needing that to be taken care of.
If you are in that field let me know if you know someone that designs and could come and take a look that is great also.
Thanks for taking the time to read this!
Design and Sound Help in Missouri Studio

welcome! please update your profile with your location. could you describe the problem a bit more? are you saying an existing studio in the church has isolation problems for sound entering it? or leaving it? or both? have you contacted the original designer to see if they can assist? (usually the quickest way) or are you asking about building a new studio and the space you have available seems to be having isolation problems?
I think I have a few things updated now.
The existing studio wasn't designed to be a prolevel studio. There is as control room and such but I am sure that the people who designed it just made their best guess and went with it.
There is sound entering into the studio from numerous placing. For example, Vacuums coming by, Checking sound in the main auditorium, doors closing and shutting, and also a slight hum from other things outside.
I think they are now looking at making it a more professional space that we can track voiceovers, bands and such at anytime without worrying about what is happening in the building.
I understand it might be a complete gut and remodel but if that is what it takes I would like to get some numbers as to what it will cost. I can post pictures if that will help.
Thanks!

thanks! you're still missing your location information.
the photos will help as well as any plan drawings you might have from the construction or even that part of the building (without the studio in it) that shows what space there is to work with. given your description it sounds like someone just put up some partition walls (perhaps without even any insulation) and labeled it the studio... in which case, a) it might not be too stressful to pull down, b) the space may be sufficient where the proper construction can be made to ensure it meets the isolation requirements and perhaps even some design tweaks to make it a better overall studio.
