Hi guys,
Me and my two mates rented this place and we would like to convert it into a recording studio.
Room A is gonna be an office and rooms B and C live room and control room.
All partition walls are made of D12cm*W25cm*H6cm hollow bricks and 1cm of mortar on top of it. External walls are made of D29cm*W19cm*H19cm hollow bricks and again 1cm of mortar on top.
This is on a 1st floor of the building and beneath room B is passage and beneath room C is old abandoned warehouse.
On the floors beneath parquet top is 40cm of concrete slab.
Building is in non residential area but there is a busy and noise road 100m away.
My questions for now
1) should I demolish partition wall between rooms B and C and build it somewhere else to gain better size balance between live room and control room? And maybe better ratios?
2) If 1st question is yes , where do you think I should place that wall?
P.S. Hight of all rooms is 323cm
Help needed

The standard plastered brick wall will only offer about STC40. You should plan to build to STC65 for decent isolation, if possible.
You will need to decouple the walls and ceilings in the rooms that you plan to use as recording/mixing space. If you are on the ground floor, don't worry about the floors. If there is a basement below or other floor, we can talk ...
I would recommend that you move the wall after determining optimal dimensions for both rooms or to make one large tracking/mix room combination. My Room Mode Calculator may help as well as other pubs here. http://jhbrandt.net/pubs.html Good luck!
