The floor design you posted WILL AMPLIFY certain low frequency ranges. For foley this is a no-no. Concrete with large (4" minimum) gap and appropriate suspension system. Andre

per Andre, the original suggestion on the concrete floor is still best. the idea of the insulation based floor is to ensure that the compression of it is just right. you need to have 48-60Kg/m3 rigid insulation to make that happen - it will keep the floor stable and compress under the weight. the challenge is: will that be enough to get down to the point where the LF creeping in can be cut and not interfere. chances are slim but worst case, you have to pull that floor out and replace with a proper concrete pad which will still be an option since your isolation walls are independent.
Thanks We will look into the concrete floor option. We have found a supply of greenglue and will be buying as much as we can!
