I am a student at a Recoding engineering school, and was assigned aa project to design a studio from scratch, inside an existing undetermined building, I looking for ideas on a design that fit the requirements, as well as what materials to use during construction, any help would be appreciated.
With a budget of 30,000 USD build a recording studio space of 15'X20' (10' ceiling), and 20'X40 (12' ceiling), with both rooms sharing a common wall, design the most diverse studio possible. Being an acoustic assignment, your first priority is to create an acoustically sound space using room analysis. Following this, proceed to gear, aesthetic, and other concerns you may find in a studio design. Also required will be a floor plan detailing the layout and dimensions of your space. This essay should be approximately 1,500 words detailing your reasons behind the design, layout, and gear purchases of your studio.
Electrical and building codes are not important, the equipment inside the room is the most important.

Sir, that is your assignment so you should put your energy into that. You can well believe we have some folks here that can give you 1500 words explaining to you how you are not going to get an answer and why gear doesn't even have a dog in the fight when it comes to the design and construction of a studio and why a shared wall is >out of the question<.
They might also suggest that until the perimeters are completely known e.g. "to design a studio from scratch, inside an existing undetermined building" that this would be an exercise in futility.
There are other folks here who might consider this a challenge just to show you how difficult it is and how telling someone how to do it, and you personally understanding the depth of what you are asking, are two diverse considerations :0
in addition to what Brien has pointed out, the design for 1100 ft2 studio is like to be north of $300,000 not including equipment (while equipment is important, that would need to be defined as part of the exercise.)
lastly, spell checking is critical for students as well as proper grammar.
Correct, but we need to make it, work so far I have a basic floor plan, now to find the materials on a budget.in addition to what Brien has pointed out, the design for 1100 ft2 studio is like to be north of $300,000 not including equipment (while equipment is important, that would need to be defined as part of the exercise.) lastly, spell checking is critical for students as well as proper grammar.
Correction: You have a supposed basic floor plan. We have nothing. Read the before you post sticky for needed information. AndreCorrect, but we need to make it, work so far I have a basic floor plan, now to find the materials on a budget.
