FOr example, does a studio have to have a control room? I would like a link to study what each room in a studio does.. is there such a thing? thanks
THANK YOU FOR THE REPLY, I really appreciate that.
There is an announcement at the top of the forum about what to do to assure getting as many responses as possible. The announcement leads to this post (click here). Actually, several people, who are experts on this forum, will most likely not reply if you don't do what is written in that post. Many others who are very helpful, will most likely not reply out of respect for the moderators' wishes.

A studio that has no control room simply isn't a studio at all! It might be a practice space, but it sure isn't a studio. IMHO. Please follow the forum rules. - Stuart -

technically, a "recording studio" without space allocated as a "control room" wouldn't be considered a "recording studio"... that's the problem with students coming on the forum these days, they're never clear on what they want from us. you'd think their instructors gave them no clue as to how to use Google or Bing...
It's obvious I wasn't clear what I wanted because I am BRAND SPANKIN NEW to studio design, SHEEESH! I mean that IS why people come to forums, NO!?!?!?!?! Also, i asked because I didn't know, now I am being yelled at for not knowing? why? If you didn't know what a clutch was for a car you would have to ask someone, you may have to ask on a forum, so what? I supposedly broke the rules because I asked for a link?????? I read the rules,SO I don't have a "STUDIO" , I have a an empty space. The rule simply said to state where you are and your dimensions...No location, no answer. No attempt at providing room details, no answer. (If you try, and I need more, I'll ask.) The effort you put into your question(s), I will put into my answers. I'm sorry it has come to this, but it has. Bottom line is this - if you are willing to put in the effort, so am I" REPEAT - I DO NOT EVEN HAVE A STUDIO! that's why I asked if there was a link for the basics of design under a "STUDIO DESIGN FORUM" , so that a moderator wouldn't have to explain the whole studio!!!! I have ONLY two posts now, why would I post more here.? Why would I come back here and ask another question in fear of being tarred and feathered, WHOLLY CRAP! SOOO SORRY!
lighten up, no one is yelling except you. we get a lot of requests for "help with research papers". in your case we provided several links to key information to begin you on the path to enlightenment and the instructions you need to follow to get help. blowing up at the first hint of humor isn't going to endear you around here. there are many more things to get frustrated about...
now I am being yelled at for not knowing?
tintala - no one has yelled at you. On the main page of this site the first thread is entitled WELCOME TO RECORDING STUDIO DESIGN It's IMPORTANT that you read this if you hope to gain any help on this site!!! i suggest you read it.
