Hi Everyone , Thanks in advance for taking the time to check my post. I am looking at constucting a booth which can be moved within a large room I am proposing it will sit on a steel box iron frame with 8/12 rubber heavy duty lockable wheels. I have been looking at various wall constructiions an to get a stc +50 from what i can see it talks of Drywall between double studs which is working out at just under 12 inches thick walls all around. I am wondering would there be a way of minimising wall thickness to optimise stc for use with drum kits. I understand that density is an integral part of sound reduction. Basically i want to settle on a ratio between thickness weight and stc. Also Any ideas for finishing the internal surfaces. Panels on the drywall etc. it all comes back to overall wall thickness. This may seem vague but looking through the forum I can understand all the various elements but trying to overlap the technologies is slowing me down. Any thoughts greatly appreciated.
