Hallo everyone. I've been browsing this site for a long time and I can't tell you how helpful it's been! I'm in the process of planning for my studio and I'd love to ask you guys for some help! I'm building from the ground up so I don't have any specific measurements to adhere to, but I'd like for the building to be rectangular or L-shaped in order to fit into my yard. Due to the lack of a good sounding drum room in my area I'd like my studio to have the best sounding room possible, so I'd like to ask what dimensions would I be looking at, and what materials I could use inside the room (wooden floors, stone walls etc.) I'd like to be able to record Nickelback-esque drums in there, but also have the option of getting a more tight, focused sound by putting up some stuff from GIK. The drum room should also be able to act as a live room to record the entire band at once when needed, and I'd like to have a vocal booth and an amp booth next to the drum room. The control room should be big enough to eventually accommodate a 24 channel console, and should also be of adequate size to deliver truly professional mixes. Does anyone perhaps have a drawing of a studio like this laying around so that I can get an idea of what I should be looking into? Also, any advice on anything that I might helpful with regards to this build would be greatly appreciated! :) Thanks so much!
