Brilliant Design Glenn! Could I possibly get the dimensions of the isolation walls so I can start a sketchup file.

Glenn, What would be the best way to create an access panel in the isolation wall and still maintain the isolation?

make a heavy (mass wise) access panel that friction fits into the frame - plywood covered with drywall wall so it effectively is the same as the wall. make the corner absorber movable.

Thanks, Glenn, This is the design I will be using. Question about the isolation walls that are next to the block wall. the drywall is only on the control room side correct? Looks like all other walls have drywall on both sides. is this correct?

no drywall on the studs between walls. only on the surfaces you would see. you want that air gap between walls.

Do I have the drywall on the isolation walls correct? It has been raining for two day here in Southern Indiana, and no water in the basement. Yeah!!!!!
