Hi, This Is pramod From India. I am A self Taught Designer/Sound Engineer From Mumbai India. I Am Facing The Following Problems In My room.
The Dubbing Booth is completely isolated Room In A room With Duct Air con. I Am Getting A peculiar Moist Bad Smell In My room Continuously. I checked Thoroughly there is no water Seepage from anywhere The Ducts are Sealed Properly. The Room Being air tight It becomes Impossible for an artist to perform in that room with bad smell. I have the same smell coming on the loft where my indoor unit is mounted ( outside the booth) But my ducts both return and supply are properly connected to the Indoor Unit.
Is It that I need to introduce fresh air to avoid this humidity and bad smell ?
if yes can somebody help me how to do it ?

pramod - it is essential that you add fresh air continuously with a ducted system. I recommend up to 25% fresh air. With the high temperatures you get in Mumbai and the extreme humidity I'd have the aircon system checked by a professional.
Thanks for the reply,
Unfortunately professional help in this regard is difficult to be found here. which gets me to this forum. Could some body provide me help on how could i introduce fresh air 25 % in my existing ducts ? Is it to be introduced in return duct ? if Yes Can somebody give me a sort of sample design of that ? how do i see that the sound does not travel thru them ?

I'd suggest that you buy Rod's book. He covers this issue in detail. But basically, you need TWO air ducts: One brings fresh air into the room, then other exhausts stale air out of the room. Both of those will need fans (very quite fans), and silencer boxes, and they must have dimensions that are suitable for the air flow that you need.

Pramod - you add the fresh air to the return duct so it gets heated or cooled as it passes through the fan distribution system where the coils are.
