Hello all,
Firstly, I must say this truly a fantastic Forum.
I have started construction of my small studio, but think I should put the design up for opinions. This is the first design/build I have done and is for my own use.
My main concern is the live to control room walls/windows.
The sketchup design is to scale with annotations and cutaways. It does not show roof or treatments as yet.
I would really appreciate opinions and ideas on the current design. I don't want to create problems for myself later on!
A bit of info:
The live room will house a standard 4 piece rock band equipment wise.
The live room walls are approx. 90% detached from the ext. framed walls
For the purpose of this post, I am not concerned about leakage outside of the design envelope.
The walls are framed and ready for insulation, live room floor is down.
Brick walls were all existing
Ceilings are 2,700mm
Control room for track, mix, producing.
I now realize that the short window in the control room will limit treatment options.
If you wise people can foresee potential issues, I would really appreciate your response.
Sketchup file: Thanks,
Paul.
New studio - build started, help appreciated!
