Hi there to all on the forum. I am 35 miles south of Madison Wi USA.I have been pouring through this forum for several years and have built 3 studios with info contained within. However this is the largest project I have undertaken by far.I'm exhausted from 18 hour days pulling up 43 year old carpet to discover the whole buildings 135 year old maple floors are in MInt condition! YA!!! This is a completely detached tobacco warehouse with sloping ceiling from rear of control room to the front. Rear ceiling hight - 10.3ft to drop ceiling the 2.5 ft to the roof. Front wall hight 9.6 ft the walls are 135 year old wainscoting to a hight of 4 ft. Above this is plaster and then stamped tin to the ceiling. We took a tuning fork and went over every inch of the tin and wainscoting searching for vibrational buzz....none! I have 200 #3 pine framed 2"x2'x4' rock wool traps and another 200 with lead barrier mat loosely hanging. I am also building a moveable 10'x10' gobo with heavy caster and heavy rubber seals around the entire unit for sealing the gobo to the opening between 2 rooms.I will post pix of the progress and the studio itself this weekend. I just wanted to say thanks to all for the years info. I will donate this weekend to the cause. Thanks, Jeremy -owner- shoezmusic
