Hello all, I had a friend build a mixer table for me that sits ontop of an existing table.....here is a pic to describe it better http://www.robertsrecording.com/1.JPG I'd like to have something that looks something a little more professional....maybe add legs to this and a back shelf that goes across......to set my monitors on. Any ideas, maybe someone has done this....by the way, i have a mackie 24-8 bus to go on the desk.....it is in the "shop" under warrenty repair....darn ribbon cables p.s. here are a few shots of my basement studio I am working on....I was using it untill my mixer went down. I am taking the time to re-arrange and possibly modify http://www.robertsrecording.com/3.JPG http://www.robertsrecording.com/4.JPG sorry they are so big... anyone have any ideas? I was using the closet to cut vocals in occasionally, I'd really like to design something better, like having sliding glass doors where I now have the door and window. Would this work, and how much would it cost to do right??
here are you pics Travis. cheers john

Thanks for fixing those to fit on the screen!
Travis - can you do a drawing for us so we can see exactly what your layout is. Can you knock down the wall between the control room and studio?? if you want glass doors you'll have to do that to start with. cheers john
I think the wall between the rooms that is pictured above is needed to support the upstairs. I could rip out the walls at the closets.....also I have an unfinished basement as well, maybe later I could build more there.... here is a CRUDE drawing of what I have now....it is my first time ever trying to draw a layout. <img src=http://www.robertsrecording.com/room.jpg> I really would like to develop my basement to be a better place to record. Thanks
sorry travis - that link is a bad one. post it by using the add attachment option on the reply page. cheers John
