Hello,
I have attached pics and a sketch up of the control room. Front wall is nearly 9 foot at the front with angles at 45 degrees coming off to make 15 feet from side to side about three feet from the front window. The room remains about 15 feet wide until 5 feet from the back wall where a closet comes into the corner of the room. The back wall is 23' from the front wall. It is 4 feet wide and deep. WE currently have a pair of Peavey AMR 308's Set on treated and wrapped pedestals that continue to the ceiling. In front of the Peaveys we have a pair of ADAM A7's sitting on stands. Both are angling in 60 degrees.
a link to the studio site has a few more pics of the control room.

We have 4 2" panels running on each side wall. A false wall at the rear of the studio with R30 insulation framed and wrapped in fabric. 2 panels 8' by 2' x 2" running above mix spot. A 3' x 4' x 4" panel at the front wall angling down from the ceiling and panel directly below that angled on the floor also 4" .
If this is too confusing I can upload more pics. We are wondering is a Soffit may be the right direction to head in in gettting a more even base response. Any info is welcome.
Help with existing control room!! To Soffit or Not

First, please read the stickies on the front page of the forum, and abide by the rules.
Second, it's really hard to see what you have from those photos. Much better would be to model your existing room in SketchUp and pose the file here, for the experts to look at.
Third, you'll find that most people here do recommend soffit mounting speakers, but some don't. It all depends on the room, and the budget.
But if you post your SketchUp model here, I'm sure folks will take a look and offer suggestions.
