Hi Folks Hoping for advice on 2 points please: 1. Is there anything inherently wrong with my current setup? In particular, monitors being so close to a sloping ceiling? 2. Any suggestions on a new layout? I'm considering building walls to create a separate CR and recording booth. Background: This is a project studio where recording is overdubs are done in the same room. Nearfield monitoring with speakers on stands. The listening location 'alcove' has bass baffling to wall and ceiling corners and wall/ceiling mounted absorbers to manage reflections. I have done acoustic analysis on room and constructed/located absorption based on this. Drums rarely recorded, but am considering a revised layout that would enable this. I record/mix mainly rock/pop and folk styles. I monitor at no higher than 85 dB SPL. Thanks for any advice.
