Okay, so I have concrete floors in my garage and I want wood.... I am not looking to raise it up to get better sound quality and insulate because I dont have the budget... I was wondering If there was a way to jsut lay down wood floors directly ontop of my concrete maybe a layer of padding then lay the floors? any help or suggestions are welcomed thanks

At Power Station we used plywood in the rhythm room and simply applied it directly over the floor - attaching it with TapCons. Rod
no hardwood? just plywood over concrete?
The rhythm room is for bass guitars and drums - a lot of drummers use screws for their bass drums to lock them in - so (in this case) plywood alone is da-bomb. It is flush to the height of the adjacent wood floors..... Rod
you did not worry about moisture seeping up? i.e no pre layer of silicone?
If your slab is sweating that is another issue completely. Installing anything on top of that concrete will only be inviting the inevitable rot.
