Hi, My Name is Bonar Abraham,a newbie about Acoustic studio and i'm building my home studio, it's on the progress at the moment.the studio location is in Indonesia. i'm confused about treating my rear wall, it's must be absrob or diffuse? many idea and thought from this forum and friends, but i don't how to dicide, which one is best for my studio, which is not too big. i have build a treatment on the front wall (broadband Absorber), corners ( Superchunks) and left right walls (using Slot Resonators), and there is a cloud over mix position. here my studio details: H x W x L : 2,9m x 3m x 3,63m Purpose : Mixing Studio Monitors : Yamaha MSP 10 Console : Harrison MR 3 32ch Anyone can help me to give an idea, what should i treat my rearl wall, will be suite for my room dimension? my last question, what is the different function of diffuser between Skyline, 2D Diffuser and BAD disorbor? Thanks for sharing and your time to answer this question. Cheers Bonar Abraham
For a small studio like that, absorption is what you need. Many people here will tell you that trying to use diffusion in a small studio doesn't work. So I'd go with absorption. - Stuart -
