Hey all, we had figured out a great design for me awhile back but now I have to make some changes. The house itself is under construction still and <despite all my requests> I have to deal now with the ductwork and HVAC/Water heater/floordrains for the basement studio. I tried to have them place the ducts along the outer walls but they didn't listen. I wanted the furnace and water heater drain in the corner and they didn't listen. I guess thats the price to be paid when using a production builder versus custom! So all things considered, below are three slightly different layouts for what I'm trying to do. I'm dumping my vocal room for the time being. I could always go back and add one at a later time if I need to. As for the main layout, the 44' door to the outside for equipment and the locations of the rooms upstairs for isolation, seemed the make it the best solution. Now I'm trying to figure what would be the best layout/design for the control room. My home should be completed end of April since they are now drywalling it this week so I hope to start construction of the studio no later than mid/end of May. side note: I have it worked out with the builder to let me use their building supply company at cost so if I have my ducks in a row I can have all the building materials delivered at cost to the home within a week of closing. The light grey box in the pictures is the main HVAC duct so that is where I will have to angle the ceiling and so forth. Please let me know any and all thoughts. Thanks for the help!! Ron
