Hi there!
After watching Modern Recording & Mixing "The Big Secret" part, i was inspired much and decided to build up something similar in my basement^^
I was playin a bit with SketchUp and comes up with this model, please tell me if this is the right way to achieve the best flat freqs response on that room.
Every yellow panel is Rockwool Sonorok 10cm thick. Whole ceiling would be also covered by 30cm Rockwool as well. Space behind new walls would be also completed by some Rockwool.
Thanx in advance :D
p.s. i couldn't upload .skp file coz of 500kb limit size :ahh:
Little basment studio help please.

Here is .skp file, sorry i had to cut it in 6 parts to be able to feet it on the file size limit.
Please any suggestions?
In sketchup go to Windows/Model info/statistics and click purge all. Save and check you file size.
Sketchup stores every component you drag into it whether you end up using it or not. Purge all clears the ones you aren't using.
Thanx John, i did that and file size remain the same. Anyways, 6 parts above will do the job.....please i need some professional opinions about this project, tomorrow drywall and rockwool arrives, so i would like to fix some problems if there is any before i will start to build ^^ Thanx in advance :)In sketchup go to Windows/Model info/statistics and click purge all. Here's how I would approach it - the worst problem is the ceiling as it's only 2.060m high
cheers

WOW !!! This loox very interesting, million thanx for investing your time on it John! :thu: if you don't mind i got few questions such as: is the walls made of drywall or plywood? Is any rockwool inside the walls? What is behind gray and brown colors on the walls exactly? Why the middle of the front and back walls is empty? What's exact the walls angles? Hope this is not too much questions^^ Thanx in advance Cheers JayHere's how I would approach it - the worst problem is the ceiling as it's only 2.060m high  cheers john
