Moreover, at which height i need to put my monitor? Ear level i guess... (to not put them angled)... but i';ve red some post that say not at the middle of the heght of th room, nor lower that 1.5 meter... are those rules true? Ale
Recommended height for the acoustic center of your monitors is 1.2m, which should be roughly the height of your ears when seated at the mix position (unless you are really tall, really short, or like to have your chair at an unusual height). Not that this is the height of the ACOUSTIC CENTER of the speaker, which is usually somewhere between the woofer and tweeter, probably closer to the tweeter. The manufacturer might be able to tell you where the acoustic center is for your model of speaker.
nor lower that 1.5 meter.
If you have them at 1.5m above the floor, then you will have to tilt them downwards to get the correct geometry. That complicates things, but it can be done. But it would be better to use 1.2m, or best of all measure the height of YOUR OWN ears when YOU are comfortably seated in YOUR normal chair that YOU plan to use when mixing, and use that for the height of the acoustic axis of your speakers. - Stuart -
that's what's called a feedback! Fantastic. I know what to do now! :) Do you think the way i've designed the acoustic treatment for that space is the right one?
Looks good in my humble opinion, and since no one is jumping in to mention how bad it is i would say you are pretty safe with the design on the first page, cause round here they just love to tell ya when its wrong!!!! In a small room like this you are going to want lots of bass trapping behind you, the more the merrier i would say, blessings df
"cause round here they just love to tell ya when its wrong!!!!" It is always in the posters best interest...and with as much Love as can be put together in a room full of guys, and one cute chick :)
Dears, regarding the video positioning... Find here the Studio set up with real gear at my current studio. I've tried to simulate the positioning of the gear in the future studio. You can see the first pic with the video between themonitor (1.7 meters from listener).. but it is too far away. IN the other pic you can see the video advanced. QUESTION: does the video so advanced intefere with the audio and ruin the acoustic? What do i have to do?

One more question: - Is it a drama if the floor is not in WOOD but in CONCRETE? Thansk ale
Concrete makes for a great floor in a studio... provided that you you treat the ceiling with plenty of absorption. - Stuart -
are two big cloud panles enough or i have to build a NON PARALLEL cieling?
Dears, new question... as i would love to put the monitors tHE FAREST i can one from the other... the original Comoponents.skp done by John... is apparently not the best solution...as the SLAT resonator.. in order to have a Smooth transition with the flash mounted speakers... push the speaker a bit more in the middle of the room.. I've tried to make 2 alternatives.. (in the below sketchups) 1) with the SLAT RESONATOR with the small part on the floor and the large one on the cieling 2) wiht the SLAT RESONATOR with the small part close to the monitor flush mount and the large part on the opposite side Do you see any issue if i move the SLAT resonator in one of the above way? it would give me a 1.8M space among the monitors vs a 1.35 on the original design form John. THanks in advance, Ale

I am confused about the method you suggested and I need to try and check that out it really works or not until that I cant believe that.
