I am considering building a portable sound isolation booth and came up with this. The sketch has insulation on the outside and a door that swings into the room in case I ever decide to upgrade it into a booth within a booth, although I will most likely just add a second door with airspace in front of the first door, as the door seals are the weakest link.
It's basically 2' panels of double 5/8'' sheetrock with GG joined by pine board connectors that are lined with 1/4'' neoprene. all panels are 2' except for the ones on the door side. I made them only 2' -3' wide so that they'd be easier to move around.
For the floor and ceiling, I'm thinking of 4 2' panels with male connectors that will fit into female connectors formed by extending some of the pine board connectors upwards and downwards (I hope that made sense).
I'm having a really hard time visualizing a workable design for the floor/ceiling panels though. Any thoughts on how to make it work?

People have asked before, so if you have a little time and do not mind a whole lot...read up on it some more.
Thanks for understanding,

 On the OUTSIDE???? What would the purpose of that be? And with no treatment on the inside, I can't see that it will be usable as a booth at all! It will be highly reverberant, more like an echo chamber than a booth. I reckon you need to turn your walls around, before anything else! - Stuart -insulation on the outside
