Hi, I'm setting up a new place for my project studio in San Jose Costa Rica. In the room I'm setting up, I can place easily a wall to make the room is almost a square 377cm x 370cm (not good but easy to build), The other option is to make the room smaller and rectangular (377cm x 310cm), but it is a lot more difficult to make. Now, what is particular about the room is that the height is asymetrical and triangular, so at the center it is 358cm, but on one side it is only 193cm while on the other side it is 293cm. My question would the salmost quare shape be OK given the shape e roof, or should I go with the more complicated option of making the room more rectangular (with added costs). Thanks (I hope I'm not breaking any posting rule)
Anything that makes if more difficult and cost more is usually the way to go. As a rule, square rooms are difficult. But given that your area is so small, does it really matter with the ability to acoustically treat it? Still, what I said first is always a better guideline.
Thanks for the gut instinct advice. My thought was the same as your, since I'll have to do a lot os treatment to make it right it might perhaps be worth investing in the treatment an not the extra expense of putting a wall where at the moment I have windows. Any other advice?

That was an educated assessment...:) Do you have pictures of this room?
