there are dozens of design programs for the mac, but i asume your looking for freeware, and that seems pretty hard to find. if you can't justify the expense of omnigraffle or canvas, try the drawing module in appleworks. it is certainly good enough for playing with basic room layouts and creating visual aids for bbs posts.

The older QCADs are available for free from Sourceforge: http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/qcad/ I believe this is the one you would want: http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/qcad ... 5.4a-3.dmg I use QCAD on my Mac (OS X 10.3), and it doesn't have any issues. It's not the most user-friendly piece of software I've used, though.
