I'm a sax player & record small groups...loudest instrument is the drum set.

Hi...total noob
20x10 room that I'm donating 4x5 corner to the wifey for a pantry. Entry is from in the house...the "right wall" is against the house.
The 10ft wall (top) opposite the pantry and exterior door will have the "control room" gear.
I hope to put some kinda hinged walls that'll fold out to isolate the "control room side" so I could have drums in the center area w/ a guitar player direct.
I'd be in my "control booth" w/ my sax & the gear to be an "engineer-player".
But when I'm mixing I"ll "open" the hinged walls so the whole space is open. The pantry wall w/ the shelves on the outside is splayed, but I thought I could put the control room desk & gear on an angle to sorta make a "splay" off the exterior door back-wall 20 feet away.
I'll put a splay in the long 20 foot wall (left) to prevent the parallel side to side.
THoughts?
edit:-> Just notice you can't tell theres a door from the house wall into the studio so the "dimension" that says 10'&-change on the right wall is misleading....theres actually almost 13ft along that wall including the door you can't see behind the pantry.
Can I just "Splay" my desk & back wall?

"Hi...total noob"
Indeed.
Read the stickies...your picture is too large and no one knows from what geographical area you hale.
My first thought is that your control room will not be symmetrical. That's a biggie. It must be symmetrical if you hope to do decent mixes in there that translate well to the real world. No symmetry = lousy mix / lousy translation.
Second thought: How on earth are you going to get an air-tight seal and enough mass on your "hinged folding walls", and how can you hinge a two-leaf wall? If it is not sealed air-tight, or has insufficient mass, or is not a two-leaf wall: = it will not isolate.
