Hi friends (I'm not english speaker so please don't pay attention to the writting mistakes), thanks for all the info in this helpful forum. Since the aclaration of the soffit speakears I'm drawed the design of the studio. I think that all is OK. These are the characteristics and questions: 1. Dimensions (in cm): l:303 w:185 h:340 2. No isolation requiered (well, is not possible for the dimensions). 3. The door is in the back wall and is not centered so I think that there is too mid-low absorbers and a poor high absortion, specially the necessary in the back, so I think that is possible to make a high absorber unit not fixed to the wall -like a door- (apart from the real door). It's in the sketchup file. 4. The slot resonators of the back are in 45º but I dont know if this is correct. I can eliminate the third row of the slots of the side walls and make the back ones longer, it's ok? 5. The slots of the side walls don't arrive to the floor because there will be the racks (not in the sketchup file). The racks will be looking to the ceiling, with a little inclination to the listener. 6. The upper part of the room wil be fitted with hangers for the bass. Then, I will make a false ceiling with cloth. 7. I know that acoustics are in 3D and my design is apparently in 2D. I don't know if is necessary to put a cloud on the listener or to inclinate the ceiling some degrees to avoid the stationary waves. 8 Is the first time with skecthup, so the file is very dirty and I don't drawed the door nor the side walls and celing (for the visibility) nor the hangers. The back wall is very bad deisgned but is only for the idea. Well I think that's all. Thanks! :)

Come'on guys! I need your expert opinion, please! :D :D :D
Hai papaver, May I suggest you make a few 2D exports from your .skp file (.jpg for example) and upload them here so we can judge them on-the-fly instead of downloading the file, opening sketch-up etc. I'm sure you'll get a lot more responses that way. Stick to specific questions, if possible. cheers.
Thanks Ro, here are some photos. the specific questions, more or less: - Is the system equilibrated? I mean, maybe there is too much broadband absortion and too low high absortion. - About the slot resonators of the rear, they are now at 45º. It's ok, or maybe they should go to 30º (in relation with the side walls)? - In the ceiling will be bass traps (hangers). it's necessary to put a cloud over my head to avoid reflections? - General opinion? Thanks, Àlex

Your making a very small room even smaller. I wouldn't go with all the slat resonators. Maybe just one from the soffit to your ears.

Also your soffit is wasting space as well. How deep are your speakers? push every thing back and take back some real estate.

Hi friends, thanks for the answers, but there is a important change in the design of the studio. My really nice girlfriend proposed to me to change the bedroom to the actual studio and then I could make the studio in the actual bedroom. This is love! :D So I will have a bigger room. :yahoo: It's not the buckinham palace but it's more confortable, I think about 4 x 5 meters or something like that. well first I have to remake the bedroom and when finished I will make the studio. See you then. Thanks !
