Research Phase

Hello We are still in the – research phase. Can we build a CR with big external window (s) that maintains decent isolation? (Isolation near as good as if it were a normal studio grade double wall construction instead?)

Real pictures. As much as the crew enjoys a good thread like yours is shaping up to be...real pictures are a must for a starting point. You mention a 30k budget but you are wanting an 8 foot by 12 foot piece of glass that will match the OITC/STC of the wall. Ouch :) Big bite out of the budget just for a simple want. I suspect this will be the first compromise. An existing HVAC unit specific to the garage area is a great start because this is another area that can whittle by 20-50% away from your budget, depending on the budget. Lot of work in this one. With any luck John Sayers will take some interest because he is not afraid of glass designs or glass in general in a build. Good luck, Brien
