Hello, I'm in the planning phase of building a eco friendly house and within that house i want to accomodate a studio. I'm discussing with my architect about sound proofing the studio and what materials are available. So does anyone have experience with eco friendly sound proofing materials? And do you have ideas about the combination wood and compacted sand? What kind of construction would you use with these materials? My target stc is about 70 db to the next room. Thanks in advance Yours truly Boy Griffioen

Sorry it has been a while since i made my profile here. Never posted before though. But to make that perfectly clear Here do i live And the budget is made for the whole house so it is difficult to say how much goes to the studio but i want good acoustics, ventilation and soundproofing (also the ventilation) so i want to focus on that first. But of course trying to keep it reasonable. So for starters lets say €25.000 for soundproofing. Building we will do ourselves so material costs only. Sizes are approximatly 55m2*3 for the control room and 90m2*4.5 for the live room. The live room also doubles for other purposes so has to be able to acommodate 50 people in a healthy comfortable way.
