Hi all, my second thread on this amazing site!
I am actively seeking a warehouse premises to build a new studio and I'm considering the idea of combining a tracking and control room. There is not much good space available on the market at present. So, there are two reasons for looking at combining; 1. as a producer I like the intimacy of working n the same room (Lanois is an inspiration) and 2. I may need this approach to fit a working studio into the few less-than-ideal spaces which appear on offer in my district at present. Bare in mind, I do NOW mix and master in my smallish, but well treated control room and I do not wish to end up with a very compromised monitor control space. I would still add one or several isolation rooms to this approach.
So, my question is can anyone point in the direction of examples of 'good' spaces like this, or would any of you please care to comment or offer opinions upon this design approach?
