Hello, I read a thread yesterday, that I unfortunently can't find for the moment, about how to seal and even out the drywall edges and joints. It was clearly critizising regular spackel for not working in this application, and it was recommending Joint compound such as the sheetrock for this application. But today I called sheetrock here in sweden, and they said that their products was nothing else but regular spackel, so I wonder, what are you guys saying about this? Will this work? http://www.byggmax.com/se-sv/Prod/PID-18206.aspx Thank you!
No-one has anything to say about this? I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
Osse, Its possible there is a slight interpretation problem, In the US we call it Joint compound or sheet rock mud. It is made of gypsum and used for filling nail/screw holes and taping and filling of the joints. You can also purchase a small can of spackle in the US. If it is used for sheetrock it is gypsum based. Sweden might have a different translation, so just ask your drywall supplier what is used for taping and filling of joints and filling nail/screw holes. More than likely you have the correct stuff since I have never seen a 2 gallon bucket of spackle and cant read Swedish  PLus everything on that page is used for joint compound installation Peace Tom
