Hi,
I have the chance to rent some rooms for my new studio.
It would be nice to get some input what you think, ideas, concern etc.
The rooms are in the basement of an former supermarket.
It's one side of the corridor.
But the are some problems:
- the window (on the right) goes to a little square surrounded by apartment buildings in 20-50m distance. I don't want to disturb the residents there, but want to record and rehearse even at 2 o'clock in the night. So the sound leakage of window could be a problem. But it would be nice to have the opportunity to open the window an to get a little daylight.
- ceiling high is only 2m!
- 2 doors can be bricked, but no wall can be removed (bearing), wall thickness is 24cm concrete/bricks
But a window between "recoding room" and "control room" is possible.
- the owner plans to build a flat on the other side of the cellar (further left) perhabs. This could be a problem, too.
What do you think? Rent the rooms or better not?

If the window is your only possible leakage to any neighbours...you have the lounge between your window and the louder rooms... daylight should come threw the window even when its closed?!Hi, So the sound leakage of window could be a problem. If you are searching for opinions... I would not rent something with 2m height. :?- ceiling high is only 2m!
A flat in a cellar with 2m height?- the owner plans to build a flat on the other side of the cellar (further left) perhabs. This could be a problem, too.
poll? Sorry...for me its a "no", except for silently played instruments (played by lying musicans :| ). I hope you come to a decision easily! good luck! What do you think? Rent the rooms or better not?
