I work in a post mix room that has many problems. Foremost, there's too much low frequency information esp. @ 100hz. Room eq (BSS soundweb) can't adequately correct it. In addition, the room has no decay, which makes for an unnatural listening environment.
My question is; in correcting the space what is the baseline to strive for? Should I assume that the goal is to have a flat response, with natural decay?
Thanks for any help.

What is goal for sound in Post Mix Room?

Got any pictures? Or room ratios? Or length, width, height? Material on walls, floor ceiling?
You've got to give us something!
Any hoo, I'm guessing you have either no hard surfaces, yet no bass traps causing the phycho acoustic effect of no highs and all bass. Your bass might be fine, but in comparison to the lack of highs you've got a bass problem....
Or you simply have no corner bass traps = 100hz build up.
Or your room ratios are creating a doubling or tripling of the 100hz Frequency.
