Hi guys,
Just in the process of finishing our mic booth in our project studio, it's built from solid concrete breezeblocks (8 inch thick) cemented together with plasterboard on the outer side and inner side (we weren't aiming to soundproof it due to space restrictions and since the mic booth is in the control room) The dimensions of the booth are 2.7 feet wide (32 inch) 6 feet long (72 inchs) and 8.58 feet high (103 inch)
and our budget is £100 (I know that isn't a lot but that's the honest truth as of now!)
Here's some photos of it;

Couldn't get a good angle to take a photo inside the booth that represented it well enough... Of course we'll be using good old trial and error but my initial concern is the height of the booth. Any tips on how to best acoustically treat this mic booth and anything we should avoid? We have some acoustic foam left over and it isn't too expensive to purchase more from 'www.thomann.de' but I don't want to just cover the inner plasterboard layer with it if there's a more effective DIY method. Then there's also the issues with the space as it's only 2.7 feet wide :shock: yes the noobs have hit the message board again!! Any advice, tips or weblinks welcome. Thanks!
