Wood wall, what to do with it?

My live room is roughly 15 ft by 24 ft, I have 9 ft ceilings. Besides the floor and ceiling, the only parallel surfaces I have are between my back wood wall, and the wall directly across from it. The wood wall is made from 4 pieces of 4x8 8th inch thick plywood. Right now with no diffusion my room sounds like a cave. I was thinking of bringing out my wood panels off the wall at angles to hopefully achieve a better sounding room. From above it would look like a zig zag pattern. I am curious about the space behind the wood if I brought them out? Can it be hollow, or does it need to be filled with insulation or something? I understand this won't fix my "cave" sound, but would there be any benefit to doing something like this? Thanks a lot, Ryan

What is that room for? Control room? Live room? You don't provide enough information
Sorry, I said it was my live room. I know my description sucks, but I am trying to explain in the best I can.
If it sounds like a cave, and you don't want it that live, make some boardband panels
Why angling some reflective panels would make the room less like a "cave"? Those kind of panels were designed (i think) for a control room enviroment, where they will splay early reflections from the side walls, In your case, its not necessary, and if you want a diffuse room sound ,consider making some diffusers
Cool thanks a lot.
People here might bash me for what I'm about to say, but I always thought that for a recording room, you always want to hear it through a microphone first. You never know how the oddest and funniest room will sound through one (maybe like crap or very good indeed), so being said that, there is no rule for a correct "live room" sound. Its all about what you like and that you're aiming for. Maybe a 200hz standing wave makes your drumkit sound huge. who knows? Different too if you only want to record vocals Control rooms are a totally different story IMHO
makes sense!
