Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone could help with the room I have attached in both SketchUp and jpg format.
I would like people's opinions on where they think the best speaker position would be. It is a strange shaped room and it will ideally incorporate a 5.1 set up as well. It will be a teaching resource so the positioning of speakers needs to be logistically sound and ergonomic.
Also because of the strange nature of the room I am struggling with acoustic treatment positioning. My colleagues and I have our own opinions, I guess you guys could settle the argument for us.
Cheers

Update........ if 5.1 is a problem which I really think it is in that room, then could people just give their opinion on a stereo speaker position please? The splayed walls and strange angles are proving a real problem for us. This is my idea so far.......
If it were me, I would set up in this manner, if no more walls were to be constructed or if there was nothing more I could do structurally to this room.
Thank you for your reply, that was another consideration and something we may go with on second thoughts. What would you do in terms of treatment, the uneven wall behind the listening position could be a good thing so not to have direct reflections, almost a natural diffuser. Do you think 5.1 would be very hard to achieve in this room?
