A question for aesthetics, will stretching a burlap grillcloth over the front of a diffusor array effect its efficacy?

If efficacy is the capacity to produce an effect, then no. If it means will it alter or somehow change the efficacy of a diffuser array, then yes. I think it will in effect, short circuit the array and defeat the intended purpose to some degree, which is to diffuse and not contain. Others mileage may vary.

What is the targeted frequency range of the diffusor ? If it's in the lower range of the spectrum then there is no problem, but in the higher range it may gradually attenuate it's purpose.
