Hi all,
It's been a while since I posted some questions regarding the design of my little studio build project.
(see also http://www.johnlsayers.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=11568).
Now I am finally getting into the nitty, gritty details since the actual build will start very shortly.
In fact, I already do have the small building ready, I will post some pictures later.
Now, next Friday I have my HVAC contractor coming over to install the main split system. :)
He will also bring a roll of lined duct (Sonodec) to attach to my silencers etc... I am thinking of building 4 of them according to the proven concept as in this thread: http://www.johnlsayers.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6933&start=116.
Now, from all the calculations I could do up 'till now, everything looks bright and shiny. However, there is one little thing I could not find any info on (yet). I would like to now what kind of back (static) pressure I may expect from such a silencer, taking into account that i will make sure that the inside air velocity is half the one inside the ducts...
Many thanks.
Kind regards,
Bert
Static pressure caused by silencers

I have in the meantime an additional question:
If the static pressure caused by the silencers in question (labyrinth?) would be to big for my system, would a splitter silencer be a better option, since that one does necessarily have these curves, hence propabably less pressure build-up?
Many thanks.
