Hello everyone. I would like to start off by telling you that I am not musically inclined at all. I work for a housing authority that hosts an after school program. Apparently they are having some kind of music class this summer and I am tasked with building an isolation booth. This class is set to begin in 13 days. The structure will have to be able to be broken down and moved and then set back up with ease because the booth will be located in a room used for GED classes when it’s available. They would like the structure to be able to accommodate up to three kids between the ages of ten and fourteen. This structure will be for vocal recording only. It also has to have a window and some kind of ventilation. I found this diagram that might work, but its lacking a few key features; a door, lighting, window and ventilation. Also what should I use for the walls as well as flooring ? Any input on this project would be greatly appreciated. That would work perfectly, if there are no further demands.
You can do this within your budget, this way.

looks like a suicide trap to me...
It has no structural integrity. You place something of this fashion in a public venue and the "potential" for it to collapse from any number of things, of the least which would be getting into or out of it, increases dramatically.
(my prev post was kinda sarcastic ;) )
Start reading this forum, fill in your profile and read them stickies. THEN rethink your plan. What X said; it's crap (well, he used other words...)
I was just an idea or kind of like a starting point. I know the design needed a lot of work.
This is what I came up with. I can build three of theses for under $250, and have one cube left over storage. I showed it to him and he was happy with it.

They must be really SMALL kids if you can fit three of them in that box, along with the mic! :) (Either that, or that's the biggest mic I ever saw.... :) )
