Attatchment test prior to posting questions

Hello everyone. Ok, I'm finally ready to start posting some questions. My name is Rick, and I have a ton of questions. But before I do, I need to run a series of tests to support my questions. Basically here is why. By virtue of the fact that I am a pro detailer(fancy name for building on paper/computer :P ) I am prone to draw everything at the detail level. That is to say, I leave nothing for granted when designing or drawing. My studio is no exception However, since a lot of stuff I draw is detail oriented, in order for for some detail to show up correctly, I need to actually see how it is displayed on the forum. Same with pics. This has to do with pixel resolution and size, which I tried to find out the limits here... viewtopic.php?t=3231 But there were some things I didn't find regarding posting attatchments. So, I've compressed everything(via CorelPSP) to under 67kb and the width resolution to what Steve said..ie 750 pixels max. Anyway, no time to start asking questions right now. BTW, some questions may be in other forums, like acoustics and construction..but the attatchment questions relate nonetheless. So...on with the tests. :D btw, these are all in the same size format. I'll post one or two later that are OVERSIZE just to see the difference as I MAY have to occasionally do that because of detail resolution. oh, one other thing. All my images are stored on a hosting site which I link through the "img" icon above. I hardly ever directly upload from my computer. fitZ

..well, you're not the only soul that's lost.. what in earth are you babbling, dude? Images show up pretty clear. so euh, you got a floor plan? This detailed, close-up, pix are cool but not very informative. ye know. cheers, mate!

 Sorry. I'll get to the point when I start posting questions.

Not really a coherent plan yet. BTW, this isn't about my studio. Its for a friend. And its only in the conceptual stage at this point. Hence my coming here to ask some questions and get some opinions. Here's the first draft which is only a space analization plan. He does have space limitations on his property. And the exterior walls in this first draft pretty much uses it up. About 36'x45'(11mx13.7m) It may even be less by the time we really know some things.
This detailed, close-up, pix are cool but not very informative.
Well, like I said, it was just a test. cheers fitZ

There is an announcement at the top of the forum about what to do to assure getting as many responses as possible. The announcement leads to this post (click here). You seem to have already found that post, since you did link to it, but it seems you missed quite a few parts of, including this one: New, 7-5-06 - From now on, please post ALL pix directly on this site instead of linking to them; I've had too many cases of lost pix when referring new members to threads that would have helped them. Posting the pix HERE would ensure that others get the help YOU got; thanks... Not to mention this one: "Edit your profile to include your location. This is very important, because this is a worldwide resource, and as such, material costs and availability vary widely. For example, masonry is cheaper than gypsum in some parts of the globe, whereas it's the exact opposite in other regions. We're not asking for your address or credit card number, just a country will do." Actually, several people, who are experts on this forum, will not reply if you don't do what is written in that post. Many others who are very helpful, will not reply out of respect for the moderators' wishes.

Well, I was just following Steves request.....
Include as much detail as possible about the existing construction. Having details about anatomy of your existing floor, walls, and ceiling is critical. In your searches of the forum, you'll likely find examples of the kinds of details that are needed, and you'll see that the quality and timeliness of the advice given are affected by the level of detail provided. New, 7/24/06 - By "detail", I mean enough detail so I might be able to go buy materials and actually BUILD a nearly identical version of your construction; things like type of material, size of framing if it's visible, style of construction - without this level of detail we can't recommend much of anything.

Well, I ran across this by Sharward.
I must confess that I have been hosting my images off the forum for a while now, and (sorry Steve! ) I'm continuing to do so. The difference in my case is that I'm paying for the hosting through GoDaddy.com.
Well, same here..the difference is my son OWNS his own hosting site, so I'd like to continue using his site. Reason is...I often upload 10-20 images. It becomes very cumbersome to upload them here. I simply paste a set of links with the "img" thing already attatched. If I only have one or two, then yea, I'll post them directly. Especially if I am trying to help someone else. However, here is a perfect example of LOTS of pics to upload. I'm getting ready to upload 24 jpgs to help a member on this thread... posting.php?mode=reply&f=1&t=13086

No problem. Done deal. :) fitZ
looks like a control room that belongs on star trek Voyager, I like it.
