what dimensions to use to calculate room modes?

Suppose we have an insulated and nicely decoupled a room in room construction. The walls of the outher room are build up of stone and the inner room walls (room in room box) are gypsum board on studs. What dimensions do we need to use to calculate room modes? The outher room or inner room dimensions?

to make it easier: they're calculated between "hard" surfaces. so yes, your innerleave is the hard surface.
