The curtain is not going to do much for you, unless it is made of lead! :) I assume that you have to keep the garage door there, either for aesthetic reasons, or for building code reasons? If not, then just take it out, brick up the hole, and put a normal doorway in it. If that were my room and you are forced to keep the door for whatever reason, then I think what I'd do is to seal the garage door in place, remove the mechanism, beef up the inside somehow, and cut some kind of normal doorway into it, so that it still looks like a garage door but has a normal door "camouflaged" into it somewhere. But that's just me. Others might have better ideas. - Stuart -
I cant really do that either! :( Once we move from the property it still has to remain the same... I thought a curtain would be better than nothing? If i get the design of the room inside the garage right, then there isnt going to be much leakage of sound to anyone near by due to the distance? What if i dont use a curtain and maybe hang another material? BTW am talking the curtain would be from floor to ceiling wall to wall, a very thick dead heavy one too heh...
