How to isolate my concrete ceiling

Hi, Finally i want to get started in my basement. I life in europe (netherlands) so the basement is all bricks and concrete. For sound issolation i only need to do the ceiling otherwise my wife will kill me ;) I've got Rod Gervais book, but is didn't understand how to apply it when your ceiling are made of concrete blocks...
