I am looking at purchasing a new house. The room in it that I will using as my "live room" is roughly 18'x20' with a vaulted ceiling that is approximately 12' at the highest point. I was thinking about turning it into a cave-like atmosphere with rough faced stone on all four walls and placing imitation foam stone on the ceiling. Is there any reason that this is acoustically a bad idea for recording?
