Hello my name is Delgado, Im in los angeles. I have a recording studio that has been in use for a while, I did not build it completly i rather renovated it to work better. My problem is that the vocals sound terrible to my ears. I have been lurking this site and others for some time now and i have always read to make smaller rooms just dead and we have tried that and the vocals sound dead. the room is 14ft by 8 1\2ft by 7 3\4. there is currently aralex on the walls and ceilings and i have sea grass carpeting with rug on top of that. underneath it is just cement. i need to figure out what to do? i have attached photos that show the room . thanks in advance for any help
Vocal Room problems

Those photos are too dark to see much, and your description is also lacking. What's wrong with the sound? Muffled? Boomy? Echoes? All of the above?
Generally, thin foam is not a good treatment for a small room. You also need to absorb bass frequencies so the bass is "dead" too. That requires bass traps. Not small foam corners, but real bass traps. Large bass traps. A lot of them.

He ethan thank you for you response. As i dont know how the room was built(materials and such) i thought giving room demensions would help. Sorry about that. Currently the room is covered with 2 inch auralex, and the sound is thin and harsh around the high high mids. And especially when i stack vocals it just compounds the problem.
