I have the prblem that the "roomsound" is with a "shitty" hallsound....
Prhaps you have some ideas?!
On the Bottom perhaps Parkett bottom ?
Thanks

Search for the topic "Room Ratios". Your room is too long and too narrow! What's the room's height?
too many reverb?
Have you "measured" it yet? (just to give us an idea)
How's your ceiling? any panels there?
Do the panels on the wall "breath" enough to suck mid/high?
Assuming you can't change the room dimensions, you need thicker panels in the corners as bass traps.

Hi,
room hight is 2,6m....
i have bass traps in the corners...
and till today i have wood parkett -- on the bottom...
too many reverb: i hear it on the recording mics....
Yes you do, but they aren't big enough. You need something like Superchuncks for that sort of application. In order to figure out how to treat your reverb problem you first have to figure out where your problem is: So, you need to measure it. - Stuart -i have bass traps in the corners...
And what about your ceiling? Any absorbing panels there?Hi, room hight is 2,6m.... i have bass traps in the corners... and till today i have wood parkett -- on the bottom... too many reverb: i hear it on the recording mics....
Hi,
so here a new picture with the wood bottom...
On the walls some Basotect Foam Peaces (see pictures)
what kind of absorber i need? Can i build them by myself?! any idea? perhaps Pictures or Building Plan?
Thanks
I would really suggest that you take a look at Ethan's web site (realtraps.com) and also search this forum for terms like "bass trap" and "acoustic treatment". You will find many, many references, way more than you can imagine, and within those you will find what you need.
Personally, I'd suggest that you leave the wood floor as it is, and NOT cover it with carpet. That you deaden your ceiling with thick treatment. That you treat your corners with LARGE "superchunk" style bass traps, and that you then measure the response of your room in the manner that Ethan outlines on his web site, in order to determine what else you need to do after that basic treatment. My guess would be additional absorption on the wall (in some kind of "staggered checkerboard" pattern so that bare wall on one side of the room faces absorption on the other), and perhaps some angled broadband slot resonators to keep the highs in the room while also trapping problematic frequencies.
But first, before you actually TREAT anything, research this forum and Ethan's site as much as you possibly can. Both are full of very useful, sound advice. Research and learn and study until you get a handle on how acoustics works, and then start building your treatment. Treating without understanding is a recipe for failure.
If you don't think you can build the treatment you need, then just buy it from Ethan.
That would be my advice. Maybe others can add some more to that.

Hi Kingfab
That's sad, First, what you describe as a shity hall sound reverb is all but a reverb. What you are hearing is the modal activity of your room. Room that small don't have enough space between boundaries to develop a true reverberant field. That being said as mention by other members your "bass trap" are NOT big enough, listen, 60hz (wich is about the fundemental of a kick drum) have a wavelenght of around 19ft long, to buit a trap that have some effect on that frequency it should be at least 1/4 of it's wavelenght, wich is almost 5ft ! That is just to give you an idea on what you are dealing with here. Since your room is long and narrow i would use one end to built some large trap at least 2ft deep, put bigger corner trap, have a cloud ceiling over the drum. Any walls or ceiling close to your drum kit and mics should be dead since they are just too close from your microphone. And yes this room will probably sound dead but with those dimension i wouln't expect it to be otherwise.
