Pics??
can you not see the photos? because i was a little concerned there were too many. thanks, ro! the denim is very safe apparently, but i will say it is incredibly DUSTY. pretty gross. i'd recommend a hat and facemask when working with it, especially above your head.
Yeah, the dust is pretty harsh. I believe it's the fire and bug resistant material. Still an order of magnitude better than working with fiberglass or rockwool, though.
Hello everyone! Been out of the loop for a bit, busy in the new space. Wanted to let you know we launched a site for the studio today: http://www.forestcitystudio.com/ Lots more photos, link to a short video, audio clips, etc... Thanks again for all the amazing help on here. Couldn't have done it without this amazing forum! ron
Great pics, man! I love the home-y and comfortable look. The windows and plugs are killer. Came out great! You happy with the sound you are getting?
yeah, very happy. if you listen to the south china track, that was mixed with no additional reverb. i've found even though the space is pretty much dead, it does have a warm ambience that sounds great for some things. on the marie stella track i mixed with some additional reverb, but the drum sound can be pretty roomy in a good way. mixing is so much easier as well, much less guesswork than in my less-treated previous spaces. very very happy!
