Yow peeps,
I'm moving to a friends studio soon and i'll be setting my stuff up in the dining room basically so I have some where to mix, just as a temporary thing to start with (a good 3-6 months i reckon). Its just a standard rectangular room with a few windows in. Id say roughly 2m by 5m
Now i just want to treat the room a little so I can mix in there. The main thing i want to get rid of is the fluttering...and try to sort some of the bass traps out a little. Nothing massive but at least deaden the sound in there a little - so im wondering whats best?
I'm hoping/assuming theres curtains I can draw for the windows to help remove reflections off of them.
I'm thinking of making a few DIY stud frames, with the rock wool inside covered in cloth (forgot the name for these.....broadband something?) Just need to know wheres best to place them - like behind where i'm sat perhaps.
I'll also look into some mo-pad things i think.
Any ideas would be sweet.
Thanks

Save your money and build a heavier, stable monitor stand.
