Hi, we are finishing our studio and looking at building bass traps, clouds, stuff like that.
Bass traps will be situated in the 4 corners of the control room, angled at 30-35%.
Bass traps will be build with 10cm,50kg/m3 Rockwool and the gap behind will be filled with regular fluffy Rockwool.
We have decided to use Knauf perforated gypsboards to close off bass traps and to keep all those nasty particles trapped inside.
I should mention that this Knauf plates have some kind of thin felt paper on the inside, covering holes, so that this paper basically stops particles on the inside from possibly entering control room.
The holes themselves are 35,20,12 mm random, as you can see in the picture.
Specification in the picture also say that percentage of perforation is 9,8%.
My question is:
Will this amount of perforation be sufficient to allow sound to get through to the Rockwool to absorb it?
Thank you

"holes" in bass traps are usually mathmatically tuned using an equation.
I'm sure it will still work but at what frequency?
