Hi
At the moment i`m planing to order the optical finishing material for my new Studio.
I saw alot of great coloured Studios with great woodwork here, and at some other places.
But what is YOUR favourite Studio, when just optic/colour scheme is the way of choice?
What are the best colours for YOU , to have a good feeling while working in the control room.
Maybee you can post some pics or link a pic where your favorite is shown.
I hope for some inspiration
cheers
Mika :D
Your favorite colour scheme in control room?

If I had the money, a beautiful big window so I can look out over the hills
I went with a coffee theme, this was a good idea since i am openly addicted to coffee.
On three walls i went with a light brown, on the fourth, i chose a dark cream. Some what of
a Vanilla latte. Then i tried to keep furniture black, with the top of my desk being blond wood.
Add some ambient lighting and a fresh cup of black coffee and i am at home!
Being a coffee freak myself, I think that looks pretty cool, actually! Congratulations on your "Estudio Cappuccino"!!!

Wow homestudiogallery, you sure have a lot of stuff in a small area!
I would have to say, IMHO, that for your control room you would want to go with colors that weren't bright or loud as it may be. That is the room you are going to spend a great deal of time working in and I think that brighter colors, such as bright oranges, yellows, greens would make for an atmosphere that was tiring to work in. The "coffee" or earth shades are very neutral and soothing and therefore a good choice. Also those colors make it relatively easy to match furniture. I also think that some of the darker colors like burgundys, dark blues, olives, and such in medium to larger rooms can work very well. The shade of the wood and/or stain should also be complemented by the color you choose for the room.
I also think that the lighting in the room plays a big part in the actual color of the room. Therefore I think having lighting with different "scenes" available is necessary. I prefer to work with the lights a little dimmer so that they are not "screaming at me" while I am working. However, care doe need to be taken with selecting dimmers so as not to cause hum or interference with your equiptment.
