Hi, I've been reading the forum for a while, it's has definitely been a didactic experience, but this would be my first time posting. Lately I've been looking for a new desk, but where I live, I think I'll have to settle for a dorm desk, or a just plain table  Anyway, since I'm pretty much stuck with what the local hardware stores have to offer, today I was looking at the desks they carried and they had one wich I though it would definitely come in handy and looked kinda' neat  , it's one of these "angled" desks that you put in the corner of the room, it looked like this. What I was wondering was, what is your opinion about how, in acoustic terms, do this kind of desks work, I don't know how it would work with early reflections, and the back of the speakers being so close to the wall(and the window), below is a sketch of how the room would look with de desk, sorry for the hideous drawing!! So..Is it a good idea? or should I just use a plain table to sit parallel to the window(see the first pic.) Thanks in advance jt

Whatever you decide to go with, the corner is not where you want to be. Sound moves to the border/panel edges and these edges are always in somebodies corner. First picture placement is the better of the two. You could even use the wall to the left or right, centered. Less space behind you for sound to develop but still better then any corner. Welcome and good luck
