I plan on building panel-style bass traps for the corners of my room. I've been researching quite a lot and taken a lot of notice to the photos of various traps posted by people here.
I've noticed that some of the traps only reach 3/4 of the way to the ceiling. I've also noticed others that, although they reach the ceiling, aren't actually flush against the wall or sealed around each edge.
My questions are: how important is it that the bass traps are sealed tight against each wall, floor and ceiling? What is the advantage and how much advantage does it give?
should corner traps be "air tight"
