Treating a portion of a room? Worth it?

I am thinking about purchasing some materials to build traps for my room. I'm still living at my parents house for a couple years so obviously they have to be able to live with this stuff and the problem is that they think it looks bad and they are only going to allow me to treat what I like to call "my side" of the basement. Which is only like 1/4 of the size of the room. Below is a blueprint of how the room is set up, and I also included where I plan to place treatment at. What I'm really getting to though is, is it worth it to treat just this portion of the room or am I just wasting money. I'm pretty sure the answer is that it will help but I won't get the fullest potential since I'm not treating the whole room. Am I correct in this assumption. Thanks. BTW the area that is highlighted in blue is the area I'm able to treat. The red squares are where I plan to place treatment. The corner where the closet door opens out will have one trap on the door and the other on the wall. Link to blueprint: http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/aa78 ... 1225868475 Thanks again.

Yes it is worth it. Andre
I'm with Andre. Making them panels yourself should not cost you a fortune and it'll make your "sound" more focused. It's worth it.
Cool. Thanks very much for your help. Now time for me to find out where I can buy some OC703 locally.
